Spelling Activity

πŸ”€This has been a fun letter sound/ sight word spelling activity. For my youngest son- I have an image with just the first letter for matching just sounds to make it easier. Another easier idea in the comment section πŸ‘‡πŸ»

βœ… Letters
βœ… Graphics (mine are from a magnet set and I have a Montessori moveable alphabet- but I’m including printable below…)
βœ… Spelled words (I typed, printed and laminated) I included this mainly for a self-checking element for the child. πŸ˜‰
βœ… Ziplock bags

Spelling Printable (.pdf)

Directions for Printable: Laminate for longer use. Cut out each picture and then cut out each word. The words are used as a self-check for the child and should be placed immediately upside down so the child doesn’t look at the word spelling. Cut out each individual letter. You’ll notice the consonants are in red and the vowels are in yellow. Place sets in individual ziplock bags.

Extension: Have the child clap the syllables and identify parts of speech of each word (nouns and verbs).
