I Spy Jars

πŸ” I Spy Jars πŸ”

We had fun making these together! Materials and links πŸ‘‡πŸ». First, find or purchase the objects you want to hide. Line them up on a piece of paper and take a picture. I don’t have a color print cartridge so I uploaded the photo to Walgreens and chose an 8×10 size and was able to pick up within 10 minutes! (Note: don’t put the objects too close to the side of the paper as it could get cut off on the enlarged photo.) Place objects in jar and fill with colored riceabout 2/3 of the way.

Materials:

βœ… Rice
βœ… Food coloring
βœ… Tupperware or plastic bags for mixing
βœ… Jar with sealed lid (I used Mason jars)
βœ… I Spy objects you place in jar. See link above or simply find some objects around your home to hide.
βœ… Laminating paper or plastic sleeve
βœ… Dry erase marker
βœ… Large crafting confetti (Dollar store)

πŸ’‘ Retail Me Not app usually has a photo coupon code for Walgreens for 40-50% off.
πŸ’‘ Purchasing smaller sized objects will make it more challenging for older children.
πŸ’‘ These are great for car trips or to bring to a restaurant or doctor office- anyplace where kids need to β€œwait”. Also great if you need to make a quick phone call and still keep your little one occupied! πŸ€ͺ
