Heather Laffey

Heather is originally from Massachusetts and is one of seven children. She started babysitting at an early age, caring for her younger brother and for her many nieces and nephews. She always had a passion for working with children and has worked in a variety of settings, including a Montessori school and a group home for children in foster care, as well as spending years as a private nanny.

Heather currently works as a behavioral therapist for children with autism and has a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. At home, she stays busy with her 3.5 year old son, their golden retriever mix, and their two cats. She understands the importance of making each moment count and keeping children engaged while making learning fun. She believes it is important for children to spend time outdoors and to nurture their innate curiosity.

Since having her own child, Heather has come to understand just how difficult it can be leave your child in another’s care. It is her goal to not only keep your child feeling happy and safe, but to provide a sense of comfort to the parents as well.
