Kirsten Fahey

Meet Kirsten Fahey. Originally from Illinois, Kirsten moved to the Tampa area two years ago and resides in Palm Harbor. She is a mom to three children. Her oldest daughter attends college in the area, she has a son who is a freshman in high school and a daughter who is in 4th grade.

In 2008, Kirsten was frustrated by not being able to locate satisfactory day care for her own three children, and wanted to be able to stay at home with them while still being able to provide for the family financially. Therefore, she decided to start her own home-based daycare with children ranging from 8 weeks old to 10 years old. She very much enjoyed caring for the children within her daycare and soon enough, they were all old enough to start their own formal schooling and no longer needed the day care environment.

It was at this time that Kirsten pursued a medical assistant degree and spent several years working at a Doctor’s office. She soon realized that being a medical assistant was not fulfilling enough and with the support of her husband, she decided it was once again time to re-open her in-home day care.

Caring for young children is her true passion and something that she very much enjoys. The joy of watching children grow while creating a true learning environment keeps her very motivated. She is committed to making sure the children she cares for feel safe, comforted, and engaged in appropriate learning activities.

In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys watching her children at their various sporting activities, taking walks on the beach, attending craft shows, and reading. She’s looking forward to caring for your children through her venture with MommyDazzle.
